Ventura Housing has been notified of a temporary nationwide delay affecting this month’s Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) deposits. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has been working with the U.S. Treasury to address the issue, and we have been informed that the matter has been resolved.
As a result, Housing Assistance Payments will be processed later than expected. Ventura Housing Authority anticipates receiving funding from HUD on June 2, 2026, with landlord payments expected to be deposited within one to two business days thereafter, depending on each bank’s processing schedule.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of our landlord partners and apologize for any inconvenience this delay may have caused.

Dear PHA Executive Director,
We are writing to inform you that there has been a delay in the deposit of this month’s Housing Choice Voucher payments. HUD has been working closely with the U.S. Treasury to address the issue. The issue has now been resolved.
As a result of this issue, there is a one-day delay in the processing and receipt of payments. Payments will be deposited into your accounts tomorrow.
