The Housing Authority of the City of San Buenaventura (HACSB) maintains a list of available affordable resale or new construction homes for sale.
There are several Affordable Housing Developments located in the City of Ventura with resale controls and current owners may list property for resale at any time, however, must be resold to income eligible subsequent buyers until affordability restrictions have expired. In addition, the City from time to time may have an outstanding agreement with a developer to construct as part of their project a percentage of the homes as affordable. These are minimal, but on occasion are available for sale.
You can go to Resale and New Homes for Sale to see if any homes are listed. If there are no homes listed or no home you may be interested in at this time, but are interested in getting updates on future affordable listings, complete the Homebuyers Interest Form so you may get updates.

Maximum Sales Prices
Maximum Allowable Sales Price for Very-Low, Low and Moderate Income Homes
The Maximum Allowable Sales Prices are based on an equation as defined in the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions and the Resale Restrictions Agreements for various affordable housing tracts. View the current Maximum Allowable Sales Prices for the various affordable housing tracts. Maximum prices are revised annually.
The following are the Maximum Allowable Sales Prices by affordable housing tract and are effective as of April 23, 2025. These maximum sales prices may increase or decrease as adjusted annually. The City will review your application upon completing and meeting all the requirements and criteria as listed under buyer information and will determine if you are eligible and in compliance.

Seaview At Midtown
Seaview at Midtown has 14 affordable 2 and 3 bedroom Moderate Income Homes available for sale. A lottery will take place to provide an opportunity to all that may qualify for these 14 homes. If you are interested and want to be added to the lottery interest list, the last day to apply is June 30, 2024, and the lottery drawing will take place on Tuesday July 9, 2024.
