Housing Authority will Open its Waitlist for Several Affordable Housing Sites

The Housing Authority of the City of San Buenaventura (HACSB) will soon open its waitlist to accept applications for various properties in Ventura. The application window will be available from August 19th at 8 am until September 5th at 4 pm. During this period, HACSB will accept applications for seven developments: in zip code 93001, Willett Ranch Apartments, Westview Villages 1, II, and III, SOHO Apartments, Palms Apartments, and in zip code 93004, Snapdragon Place II, and Chapel Lane.

Applicants must meet eligibility criteria specific to each property’s waitlist, in addition to the Housing Choice Voucher program requirements, including income limits and occupancy standards. Individuals currently on the HACSB general waitlist but not on any property-specific lists are also encouraged to apply.

Please note that HACSB will only accept applications online. If you require special accommodation, contact the HCV office at 805-647-5990. All applications must be submitted through the “Rent Café” portal. Those who have applied to any of our waitlists before can use the portal to apply for eligible waitlists. If you are new to the Rent Café portal, please follow the instructions provided online. For those already on a waitlist who need assistance registering, contact the HCV office at (805) 647-5990 EXT. 0 to receive your registration code.
