The Housing Authority of the City of San Buenaventura (HACSB) has been recognized with an Award of Merit from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO). The award was presented at the national NAHRO conference in Orlando, FL on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024.

The HACSB received this award, in the project design category for Westview Villages II. This achievement highlights HACSB’s dedication to improving residents’ quality of life by fostering safer, more energy-efficient, and inclusive communities.

Westview Village II is the newest phase of the Westview Village campus that opened earlier this year. The project consists of 50 units, a community center, a commercial kitchen, a playground, green space, and two early childhood centers.

“Serving our community is at the heart of our mission. “While we don’t seek recognition for our work, it is rewarding to see our team’s efforts acknowledged as we address Ventura’s affordable housing needs,” said Jeffrey Lambert, Chief Executive Officer of HACSB. “This award represents our collective dedication to ensuring that our community’s needs are met with the highest standards, improving the quality of life for those we serve.”
